See all- MadAI Hackathon (multi-month event)Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, Madison, WI
In collaboration with UW-Madison’s Open Source Program Office, the ML+X community, MadAI is thrilled to announce a joint AI hackathon event. The 2024 Machine Learning Marathon will run for 12 weeks (late registration is ok) from September 12 to December 12.
This 12-week marathon offers an opportunity for everyone from beginners to expert machine learning practitioners to collaborate, learn, and innovate on real-world datasets and problems through various projects hosted on Kaggle. Many of the projects reflect similar problems faced by researchers at UW-Madison and other institutions and the datasets are available to explore. We are looking to see what you can do and build. This collaboration's focus is on real world problems!!!
Participating is a great way to showcase your AI expertise and we expect to have three different groups needed: Judges, Mentors and Participants. Participants will form small teams of 2-5 members, dedicating at least 3 hours/week to complete their chosen challenge. Weekly "sprint" events will include meeting with AI/ML mentors and ideas and knowledge exchange on ML tools and strategies. To learn more and register by 9/17, visit the 2024 Machine Learning Marathon webpage.
