Official event start is 6p. Gaming usually begins around 6:30p and goes until 9p or 10p. We have 8 tables of games this season:
Journey Through Undermountain (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Ed)
GM: Jun M.
Deep in the underground halls of the Mad Mage Halaster lies a vast wealth of information and treasure. Dare you descend from the Yawning Portal with only what you can carry to seek your fortune? Game starts at ~Level 4 (10K XP). Inspired by Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon and old-school survival games.
Fate of Fortra (Dead Halt)
GM: Joe D.
Dead Halt is a roleplaying game about a megalithic Hotel, clunky computer consoles, modded humans going haywire, and wonderful adventures. Equip your new Maintenance crew at the random Item dispenser Gashapon in the basement, grab a job from the Bartender, and take the elevator up to endless wonky floors beyond your imagination.
Another Day at the Office (Delta Green)
GM: Tobias W.
You've been appointed to the Advanced Anomalous Phenomena Research Office (AAPRO) because public pressure has prompted Congress to pretend like they actually care about UFOs and other weird sh*t, and you're just smart and ambitious enough to make somebody want you out of the way. At least this should be an easy enough gig since none of that stuff is real.
Only, what if it is real...and worse than you could have ever imagined? What would that mean for you, your career, your family? What would you be willing to do to protect the people you love from a truth that might destroy them? And perhaps most importantly, who else knows, and what are they doing with the information?
Doomground (Orig Dungeons & Dragons)
GM: Victor R.
Hundreds of years ago, Doomground was the site of the last cosmic battle between Law and Chaos. With the adherents of Chaos and their minions defeated, the land has been quiet since then. Only the ruin of the last bastion of the Princes of Chaos remains in the middle of The Mire. Recently, there have been rumblings and disturbances, and sightings of ill omens - adventurers are needed to explore what is - as yet - unknown. This game is an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Original Dungeons & Dragons, and see what the game was like back at the beginning. Expect to go through a process of "unlearning" as we help each other discover what it was like back oh-so-long-ago.
The Wildlands (Classic! A Shadowdark RPG Rules Zine)
GM: Rodney N.
Classic! modifies the classes and adds a few additional rules to the base Shadowdark rpg. The Wildlands are the lands beyond the Borderlands, ruled by despots, monsters, bandit lords, and barbarian kings. Law has no foothold here, and the strong profit in silver and glory, heroes slay and revelry follows, while the weak perish, failing to perform any Deeds and fade into obscurity. What will you do?
Land of Faery (Castles and Crusades)
GM: Peter C.
Gresedt, Earl of Elthar has summoned you to his manor. Strange sightings have been reported in the Northwest, and you have been summoned to investigate them. Odd creatures from legend and fairytale have been sighted near a set of standing stones. What will you find in your investigation? Are the old stories true, and has the veil between the Land of Faery and the Realms of Humanity begun to tear?
Resurrection of the SFS Genesis IV (Mothership)
GM: Joe B.
The crew of the stasis-ship Genesis IV, bound for the Centauri system, awaken to find themselves 1,500 years in the future and less than half a percent into their journey. Despite the temporal progress, they find the solar system regressed into a disconnected, dangerous, and far more terrifying place than the one they left behind.
Explore the present, uncover the past, and fight for the future in this campaign using the Mothership system. Also there's probably malevolent and unknowable alien entities floating around, but I couldn't think of a punchy way to say that.
11/5 One-shot: Dad Overboard (Brindlewood Bay)
GM: Eric S.
Murder, She Wrote meets Lovecraftian horror. You are the Murder Mavens, a mystery book club and also a group amatuer detectives--all elderly women that have helped the local police in Brindlewood Bay solve several high profile crimes. As our game starts, you are just finishing your weekly book club meeting on the top floor of The Candlelight Booksellers when Sheriff Wyman Dalrymple approaches. The body of Albert Krause, wealthy financier, has just been dragged out of the bay. The Sheriff needs your help in proving foul play. He does not need your help solving the whole mystery, but, of course, Murder Mavens are going to do what Murder Mavens are going to do…
