What we’re about
Want to get out on the hills and meet friendly people in the Malvern area? Join us for a sociable walk.
Our walks typically finish at a coffee shop or pub (or we break part-way). We keep fit, chat with friends, and discover great cake (the odd lunch spot too)
All our hillwalks include several steep climbs and descents. While we walk at a steady pace and take breaks, please feel confident you’re fit enough to achieve this. Our weekend hillwalks tend to be around 5 miles long while our evening hillwalks are a little shorter (3+ miles). Occasionally, we put on an all-day walk too.
We welcome all ages. Most people are somewhere between mid-forties and early sixties, but we have regulars either side of this.
Please pay £2.50 per event (and pay via PayPal as you book). 100% goes towards the Meetup fee (around £400/year). Beyond that, we donate every penny to a nominated local charity.
Do join us soon. You’ll be glad you did.
Our terms and conditions
1. Please ensure you’re fit enough to complete a walk that includes several steep climbs. While we’re supportive of those getting fitter, if you’re persistently slow, we may suggest you join an easier walking group. It’s not personal, and this may be a better option for you too.
2. You’re responsible for your own safety when joining our walks. We’ll do our best to look after you though.
3. Please pay the walk fee as you book. We reserve the right to move non-payers to the wait list, which could mean you miss out if someone else jumps in and pays before you do.
4. Payment is only by PayPal.
5. If we cancel the walk, we’ll refund you. If you don’t turn up, we won’t. But your payment will go to charity.
6. We generally don’t accept dogs on our walks.

Walk from Gullet Quarry and Sally's cafe (midway)
HR8 1EU, Ledbury, GBWalking from Swinyard car park (HR8 1EU). £6 or some free roadside parking. We'll head to the top of British Camp via Swinyard and Hangman's Hills, enjoying Sally's cafe before returning along a less hilly route.
We're asking for a £2.50 contribution to attend this event. Please pay as you book. You’re welcome to bring a guest but please pay £2.50 for them too.

Things worth knowing
1. We’re very friendly. Come on your own and you’ll soon be chatting with others. And while we have many regular attendees, almost every walk includes first-timers too. We welcome single people, those whose partners don’t wish to walk, and couples.
2. Please arrive ahead of the start time. We typically wait for five minutes, but beyond that, we’ll start the walk.
3. Please pay when you book. We reserve the right to move you to the waiting list if you haven’t paid. And this may mean you miss out on your place if someone jumps in ahead of you.
4. As a rule, we don’t allow dogs on our walks. It’s just easier.
5. The Malvern Hills are… hilly. EVERY walk will include several steep climbs and descents, so you must have sufficient fitness to achieve this level of walking at a steady pace. While we’re not super-fast, and do stop for breaks, it’s frustrating for you and others if we keep having to wait for you. If you want more detail about a specific walk, please message us beforehand as we’re always happy to help.
6. We run this group voluntarily, just for fun. And we have a lot of it. While we aim to look after everyone, you are responsible for your own safety when walking with us.
