Welcome to the most awesome and FUN-tastic BI-weekly language/culture exchange group in Vancouver!

Not only are we dedicated to a safe and open free space to experience different foreign languages and cultures while making friends at the same time. No matter if you are local, international, new-in-town, or have been here for your entire life, there is always something to share and enjoy!

The only condition is that you are open to different cultures, beliefs, languages, and nationalities in a respectful and positive way. No extreme politics or religions are promoted here, but feel free to discuss them without any criticism or impositions.

This group is also not intended for dating or business marketing but also feel free to bring up these topics when appropriate in a way that is comfortable for everyone else present.

The main purpose and goal is to allow people living in Vancouver to have the chance to meet, socialize, learn, and grow together through meaningful topics and activities.

We will usually begin with a 30-minute group sharing and interaction to warm up and get to know each other before breaking into smaller groups for Spanish, French, English, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin (other languages are always welcome!!). After 2~3 rotations of different languages and social interactions, we will gather everyone once again as a group to allow anyone to share something interesting or meaningful from the language and social exchange!

This group is designed for Koreans (other countries are welcome too ) who want an effective English lesson where you actually improve your English in a supportive environment. Here, you’ll receive real English lessons that will help you learn new grammar, vocabulary, and improve overall fluency.

We meet once a week, and each session includes one hour of structured learning followed by one hour of socializing with other students. This way, you’ll not only improve your English but also have time to meet new people and practice naturally in a relaxed setting.

Each lesson includes new vocabulary and interactive discussions, so you’ll always go home with something new to practice. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this group provides a comfortable and fun space to learn English properly while also gaining insights from someone who has lived in Korea and understands the challenges of learning a new language.

About Me

Hi, I’m Rudy! I was born and raised in Canada and I’m bilingual (English and French). I used to teach English in Korea, and I studied Korean myself—I truly enjoyed my time there! Now, I’m a business owner in Vancouver, but my passion for teaching English has never faded. That’s why I created this group—to help Koreans and others in Vancouver gain real English skills while also connecting with others in the community.
