What we’re about
Meditation is often defined as taking a moment to sit quietly or to ponder. True meditation, however is much more than this. It is state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert. This is just the beginning of an inner transformation that takes us to a higher level of awareness. This enables us to fulfill our true human potential. The problem, of course, is how to achieve this state.
Within every human being there is a subtle system of three channels and seven energy centers. At the root of this system lies a creative, protective and nurturing power which is a dormant, maternal energy. When this power is awakened within us, it rises spontaneously through the central channel. It passes through each of the energy centers and emits from the fontanelle bone area on top of the head. The energy can actually be felt on top of the head and on the palms of the hands. Any imbalances in the subtle system can be felt on various parts of each hand. Through Sahaja Yoga Meditation one can learn, not only how to diagnose and decode the state of one's own inner subtle system, but one can also learn very simple cleansing techniques to rebalance oneself.
Our classes are always free of charge. The volunteers who lead our classes have found inner peace and joy from practicing Sahaja Yoga Meditation and wish to share the experience with others.
