What we’re about
Meetup Bern follows the guidelines of Meetup.com ... "we believe that real-life community is really, really important. When people come together, they create new possibilities for each other. Ideas spread, networks form, movements start. At its simplest, life is just better when you have people to enjoy it with.
Meetup exists to help people grow into the people they want to be and live happy and fulfilling lives by finding the communities that will help them thrive."
Meetup Bern is an inclusive group where organizers create events that all members are welcome to attend. Some groups may have a size limit and in certain instances, such as hiking groups, a specific fitness level may be required to make the event a safe and enjoyable event.

Tonight's movie: Twentieth Century is a 1934 screwball comedy film directed by Howard Hawks and starring John Barrymore, Carole Lombard, Walter Connolly, and Roscoe Karns. Much of the film is set on the 20th Century Limited train as it travels from Chicago to New York City.Info: Twentieth Century is considered to be a prototype for the screwball comedy. Howard Hawks' rapid-fire romantic comedy established the essential ingredients of the screwball – a dizzy dame, a charming, but befuddled, hero, dazzling dialogue, and a dash of slapstick.
In December 2011, Twentieth Century was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry.
