About Us:
This is an inclusive book group designed to focus on feminism and gender equality. It is a mixed gender group and LGBTQ friendly.
The idea is to read one piece of feminist literature each month (this could be fiction, non-fiction or poetry) and discuss the voice, tone, and themes of the book, and to reach out into a wider discussion of feminism and anything else that comes up!
Whilst it does help in order to take part in the discussions, you DO NOT have to have read or finished the book to attend. The important thing is to come with an open mind and a desire to meet and talk with other like minded people.
Meet ups to discuss the month's book are generally held on the last Thursday of every month, with a social for everyone in the group to get to know each other midway through each month.
Each month's book is chosen by members through an online vote on surveymonkey. All suggestions are welcome.
There will be an optional £1 contribution towards the cost of running the group.
