Matthew will be leading this event as Jenna wont be able to attend. This is a full moon hike on Monday January 13th beginning at 5:30pm!
This event will be a hike around 2-3 miles, along wide, easy trails at Wickiup Center, and finish around 7pm. Please dress warmly as the temperatures will be in the teens. Think layers with boots and mittens. The moon should be bright enough to see the trail, but I recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight as well as hand and toe warmers. A water bottle or thermos of a warm beverage to keep you warm as you'd like.
Matthew will be wearing a gray puffy coat with a bright orange scarf.
The hike will take place at Wickiup Hill Nature and Learning Center at 10260 Morris Hills Rd, Toddville, IA 52341.
There is a horseshoe parking lot that I will be in. Message me through the app if you have any questions. When I was there last week there was a pit style toilet available for use but they may lock it at night.
I got a special use permit to hike here after sunset so we'll have to limit participants to eight including myself. Can't wait and hope to see you there!
