SWICH-IP UP is a private friends of group for people in their twenties and thirties, who want to meet new people, make friends and professionally network.

🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️So if you are new to the area, or simply want to make some new friends and have a laugh, come and hang out with us!

🍺Some of the events we attend include karaoke, pub drinks & quizzes, drinks, nights out, walks, bowling, members only dinners & parties etc etc

💬 Our group has a whats app community we use for important announcements and member feedback, there is also a help chat you can request to join in the event the meet-up platform suffers an outage, you must be a member and remain a member on meet-up to join this what's-app community.

How the group works

🆓 This group is free to join and is privately sponsored by Elliot Howard to provide free non-profit social event listings for approved organisers of SWICH-IP UP and to support sponsored events which keep this group free to join.

📉This group is about improving the social opportunities of the local community, I conduct an annual fund raise from members to help with the costs involved running the group including Meet-Ups fee's, advertising and other often unseen expenses running the group. Any fee's charged for events cover the cost of the activity and we reserve the right to include a small fee to cover the admin costs associated with some events.

🎪 Event Organiser Responsibilities

1️⃣ Meeting you at the agreed place and time

2️⃣ Making all reasonable attempts to inform you if for reasons beyond their control they will not be present

3️⃣ Collecting member dues "at cost" associated with their event

1️⃣ Paying any member dues or event dues promptly

2️⃣ Ensuring your R.S.V.P is correct - No one likes an empty seat!

3️⃣ Your profile photo is of your face.

4️⃣ Ensuring any guests who attend with you abide by the group rules and that you make them aware of the disclaimer at the bottom of this page.

🧾🤓Subscription Holder Responsibilities
The subscription holder and owner of this group is: Mr Elliot Mark Howard who will conduct an annual fundraise for members who wish to contribute to the running of this group.

1️⃣ Manage access & maintenance of this groups what's-app community.

2️⃣ List events on the meet-up platform on behalf of members and other platforms where appropriate.

3️⃣ Maintain the privacy of members by carrying out periodic maintenance of this groups membership

4️⃣ Organise the annual subscription fundraiser to help fund the groups expenses

6️⃣ Grant and remove access rights to the platforms associated with the group

🥾Members will be removed from this group;

🚫For not attending an event within the first year of joining
🤬Abusive, violent or criminal behaviour towards other members
🚶‍♂️Deemed inactive by not visiting the group page in 2 years
📆 Deemed inactive by not attending an event within 3 years
🪑R.S.P.Ving to events regularly as going but never showing up to them or adjusting their R.S.V.P to not attending
🥸 No longer showing a profile picture or correct name
🕹️ Disrespecting or undermining how the group works and is run

✍️ Disclaimer: By being a member of this group, participating in it’s whats-app community chat extension and when participating in it's meet-ups and events arranged by and hosted at third party venues, local parks, public spaces & community facilities you agree that;

1️⃣ You and any guests you bring are participating in SWICH IP UPS socials & Events and chat community at yours and their own risk.

2️⃣ You acknowledge that you fully understand that this is an informal social group and that "Events organisers", "Co-organisers", "Other members", "Volunteers" and the "Subscription holder/s" of "SWICH-IP UP" in the context of arranging non-profit socials within this group are volunteers and not tour guides, not considered professionals or sport instructors in any activity arranged and that it is the responsibility of attendees and participants of activities to research and assess their own competence level and personal risk to themselves and others when participating in each activity, and subsequently whether an activity is right for them or their guests to participate in.

3️⃣ You accept that you are responsible for the conduct, comfort and overall wellbeing of any guests you bring along with you to SWICH-IP UP's socials and events.

4️⃣ You and your guests acknowledge that "Event Organisers", "Co-Organisers", "Other members", "Volunteers" and the "Subscription holder/s" are not responsible for arranging personal insurance for any activities, including those deemed higher risk and that you and they are solely responsible to arrange any optional personal insurance to cover any risky activities like but not exclusive to sports activities, skydiving and other experiences involving personal risks to yourself your guests and others.

5️⃣ You and your guests agree that the "Event Organisers", "Co-Organisers", "Other members", "Volunteers" and the "Subscription holder/s" are not liable for any financial loss, personal injury, social incident, 3rd party crime or death that may arise from participation in events unless as a result of negligence in accordance with UK law.

6️⃣ You and your guests acknowledge and agree that, "Events organisers", "Co-organisers", "Other members", "Volunteers" and the "Subscription holder/s" are not responsible or liable for unofficial events, ad-hoc meet-ups and social arrangements that may be arranged without permission by it's "Members", "Event "Organisers", "Co-organisers", "Volunteers" and the "Subscription holders" within SWICH-IP UP's what's-app community.

🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️Members must be aged 20 to 39 when joining this group, some members of this group may be over 39 in the event that they joined when younger. We periodically remove members for inactivity and poor attendance record at our discretion to broadly maintain the target age range and dependability of the group and we very much hope you enjoy being a member 🙏
