Las Trampas, Spanish for "the traps", features steep canyon walls with the network of subridges that Spanish hunters used to trap deer. The trails seem to be endless and steep in some places for a heart-pumping workout in a short distance. In this hike, we will hike up from Hap McGee Park to the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site where we will take 10 minutes break. Eugene O'Neill is the only American playwright to have won Nobel Prize. Let’s check out the environment O’Neill lived (The Tao House) and the beautiful hills that inspired this Nobel laureate to write his last six plays, including Long Day's Journey Into Night and The Iceman Cometh.
