What we’re about

Writers of fiction meet every other Saturday to critique the work of everyone who attends each meeting. In a round-robin format the writers discuss each submission (3,500-ish word submissions) and then email each author the critique having used Track Changes in Word. It's a supportive, constructive, fun, and energetic group of people who want to help authors improve their work. There is usually a coffee beforehand and often lunch will follow the meeting because we can't get enough of each other. :) It's fun to be around other writers who get what you're doing. You can attend just one - or as many of the meetings as you like! Some of us have been meeting for years. If you want to visit to see what we're about - you're welcome to do so. Critique participation for the first meeting is optional. The organizer is available to answer further questions and expound on the details.

CURRENT MEMBERS OF Western Suburbs Writers Group DO NOT RSVP through Meetup, they just attend. So, FYI, the "who's attending" feature is not applicable and doesn't accurately reflect attendance numbers for any given meeting.

FOR NEW MEMBERS - Please don't RSVP that you plan to attend the event and then not show. Just contact the organizer and let them know if you have a change in plans.
