Happy Halloween everyone!! It's already time for our yearly Halloween Haunt. Let's don our costumes and hit downtown and see where the night takes us! This is always a highlight of the year for the meetup, remind Eddie to never dress as a nun again haha We'll start the night at GPub and end the night The George's block party which is always a great time.
The hosts will also be giving out a small prize for some of the best costumes just for funsies :D
If you'd rather not wear your costume downtown, please feel free to come however you want. Dressing up is not required :)
Let's start the night at GPub! It's a massive bar with friendly staff with plenty of games for us to enjoy to kick off the festivities. They have a large bar selection, and can make pretty much any cocktail you can conjure up. There's also plenty of beer, wine, seltzer, and cider options. GPub also sports plenty of games! There's multiple pool tables, shuffleboard, air hockey, and sometimes cornhole! They also have a small arcade with racing games, prize machines, etc. The crowd favorite is easily the play until you win rubber ducky claw machine! We'll likely spend a little extra time at this bar to give people time to park and break the ice. Also to give people time to order some food if their kitchen is open. We'll likely give out the prize(s) here before we move on to the next spot of the night.
If we have the time, let's then move on to Pine Street Social! They're a great location with fantastic drinks at fair prices. There's plenty of space in their downstairs bar for everyone to spread out. They also often have bar games like water pong, but we're not sure if they will be holding their own event and remove the tables to make extra space. Not only do they have a great signature drink menu, but they have plenty of other drink options.
Finally we'll end the night at the Haunt's main event, The George's annual Halloween block party! It's always a great time. The restaurant shuts down Mathewson St for a fun night of music and dancing! There will be outdoor bar(s) and plenty of space. They often put up a large banquet tent during the colder months, so hopefully we should be safe rain or shine. The George likely won't be selling food, but Friskie Fries is just down the street if you need to sneak off for a quick bite. (You'll likely not be allowed in with food, but it should be easy to come back after). Best yet, admission has been free in past years so hopefully that will stay the case!
We hope everyone has a great time! Just want to make a quick note. We just ask that you please drink responsibly, and that everyone remains safe throughout the night. We strongly recommend using a taxi/car share service.
Now the less fun stuff. By RSVPing to attend this event, you are agreeing that you are responsible for your own conduct during the event and that the events hosts / the 20s & 30s Life After College organization are not liable for any injuries or damages you may experience as a result of your own behavior.
Additionally, the bars described above are not sponsors/connected officially to this event, we simply choose them for their location/capacity.
It should be a great night! While this not a crawl, and we are only stopping at a couple locations, we'll keep our location current in the comments as best we can. If you have any questions please reach out to the host(s)! Happy Haunting everyone!! :D
