Hey everyone! So Ogie's Trailer Park has been our usual New Years Eve spot over the last couple years, but this year we decided to mix things up. Since it felt a bit like cheating on them this year, let's go show them some love this weekend lol
If you've never been, Ogie's is certainly one of the more interesting bars in the city. Sporting a funky/retro 50/60s aesthetic interior, Ogie's has a fantastic selection of cocktails. Their known for their selection of Tiki cocktails (tropical inspired drinks) that they offer year round, but they also have some other great cocktails ranging from pre-prohibition classics to their own creations. They can also make pretty much anything you may be craving. If cocktails aren't your thing, don't worry they have plenty of other options. They offer a solid selection of beers on tap, and there's plenty of canned options such as ciders and seltzers. There's something for everyone!
Just a quick PSA lol Ogie's is known for having a bit of a heavy pour, especially with their Tiki drinks which hide the copious amount of rum behind fruit juices and syrups. Eddie has certainly learned the hard way (more than once) how strong their Mai Tais can be haha If you do plan to drive, please just keep that in mind :)
If you come hungry, Granny Boo's Kitchen has got you. Their food window offers what could be some of the best bar food in Providence. They're most famous for their tater tots, which are great after a couple of drinks. Check out the link below to see their food and cocktail menu.
Since it's January, we may not be able to enjoy the outside too much. However, be ready for a total shift in theming once you open the door. The bar swifts from retro lights and 60s inspired art, to a trailer park themed outdoor seating area. Complete with picnic tables and fake trailer facades. It's a fun spot to hang in the warmer weather, but it may be worth it to spend some time outside for some fresh air even with the cold. There's also a fire pit that's typically on all year, so maybe we could take that over if we're lucky.
