Please read the section on parking below, if nothing else...
Stanton Moor is a place full of surprises. Without giving away too much, on our travels we'll meet no less than nine ladies, a duke, a king, a fairy and a tower of tea. We'll also have a go at climbing on top of a cat and a cork.
Besides that, we'll pass through the lovely Whitworth country park, explore a (fake) druid stronghold, say hello to a (supposed) 2,000 year old tree, and (with luck) witness a stream train billowing along the heritage Peak Railway.
Starting point...
We'll meet outside the cafe at the Whitworth in Daley Dale:

Parking...
IMPORTANT! DO NOT park in the Whitworth car park! There have been multiple reports of fines given for spurious reasons over recent months.
Instead, find a space on Station Road next to the park:

Or use Darley Bridge Car Park which a 5 minute walk further down Station Road:

Café and toilets are available at Whitworth Park.
Post hike...
We'll pop into one of the two fine pubs at Darley Bridge for a post-walk drink.
Dogs...
Well behaved dogs are welcome on the hike and in the pub afterwards.
What to bring...
Please bring a packed lunch, water and appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
