Let's face it - often it is easier to make friends with someone the same sex as you. So, this event is for women only, in an attempt to create a more inviting environment for you to participate in this group.
I will be attending as the host - but only to greet people and introduce folks into a conversation. I do not intend to participate in any conversations myself.
**If you have been wanting to come to an event like this, but have been too anxious to attend, please know I greet everyone from the group and will help introduce you into a conversation, if you like.**
This group was created because I believe connecting with other people is what brings purpose and meaning to our lives. This will be a social event, where you can mix and mingle and perhaps try to make a friend before the night is done.
The event starts at 6pm, but please feel free to stop by anytime while the event is going on. There is no such thing as being late.
I suggest thinking about some interests/hobbies/passions you may want to talk about for this event. I have found that a good start to finding friends is to share a hobby or interest or passion.
Ringler's Pub (a McMenamins location) is excited to host our event. We will be in the back room, that borders SW 14th and Burnside.
A tip for street parking: typically, it is easier to find parking on 16th or 17th, between about Couch and Flanders.
