Many of you often ask; 'What is your favourite place to hike?' Well, it is pretty easy to answer and once you have join this trip, you will understand why I say THE PEAK DISTRICT! There is no place in England that says English countryside like this jewel on the crown.
The Peak District is one of Britain most visited and outstanding national parks. although we will look out for the rare wildlife, this will be mostly a hiking trip...
It was the first ever in England and Wales and has been designated as such since 1951.
With its outstanding views, its cliffs, moorland and forests, it is one of the most fascinating places where every path will take us through some of the most stunning landscapes in Europe. You will see the most impressive parts of it with Mam, Tor, Winnat Pass and Bamford edge and Snake Woods, so come on, come over for a pre-autumnal weekend where the colours should be appearing around the absulutely outstanding landscapes...
Home to a unique and rare wildlife, we should cross the path of some of its most famous inhabitants; the infamous red grouse, a bird species represented on the label of the Whiskey of the same name and that is only endemic to the moors of the UK and Ireland as well as curlews, golden plovers, short and long-eared owls and many mammals such as the mountain hares, the pine martens and the majestic red deer.

THE TRIPS:

DAY 1:
MAM TOR, CASTLETON AND WINNAT PASS:
We will start our fantastic weekend with the most demanding part of the trip. Once in Edale, we will begin the day with a climb to the top of Mam Tor, although most hikers will be able to make it without too much difficulty, it will be more demanding than other hikes you have done, BUT it will also be a third shorter with about 8.5 miles(13km) of length in total for the whole hike. The views from the summit will reward your effort. We will then make our way to one of Britain's most impressive gorge, Winnat Pass where we will have a well-deserved lunch before we descend on to the glorious village of Castleton, take your camera with you believe me! We will then head back to our hotel in Sheffield for some food and a well rewarding night of sleep...
DAY 2:
BAMFORD EDGE & SNAKE WOODS
Difficulty:Medium
Length: 10 miles
After Breakfast, we will make our way to the nearby train station and take a train journey to my number one favourite hikes in Bamford.
We will begin our hike with a short climb and fantastic views of the surrounding valleys, lakes rivers and reservoirs and will carry on through different landscapes that will blow your mind.
We will spend most of our trip on cliff tops with fantastic views and jump on the train back at the end of the day, grab a lovely diner in Sheffield and head back to London our minds full of fantastic memories.
This hike is about 11 miles/17km long.
MEETING:
08:00 am at St Pancras station. (By the Pret a manger located near the ticket office and the departure board.)

It is this time of the year again and I am taking you on a journey into a world of cuteness where not carrying your camera will not be allowed.
LET'S GO SEE THE BABY SEALS!
ATTENTION, BOOKINGS WILL CLOSE A WEEK BEFORE DEPARTURE AND IT IS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS as this trip is limited to 12 people.
Due to the popularity of this trip I have decided to do it again.
Norfolk is THE place where you can see one of Britain's most fantastic show; the grey seal breeding season.
Norfolk holds the world's two largest Atlantic grey seals colonies and I am taking you there. You will be able to observe at often just a couple of metres away the 7000 seals that come to these sandy beaches every year to give birth to those gorgeous white furry creatures.
You will not get enough of it, believe me.
We will be able to observe seals of every ages from the tiny few hours old white pups, to the full fat adolescents and up to the big males who weight hundreds of kilos and who will be fighting a bit further down on the sand. Volunteers will be there to answer all our questions and to keep us from getting too close to those beautiful creatures, often unsuccessfully as those cubs being of a curious nature will approach us often far too close to inspect us.
The seals will be the highlight of or trip but will not be our only journey as we will hike the dunes of Norfolk which are home to a pair of barn owl and where shorties spend the winter.
We meet at 08.00 am at Liverpool Street station, and off we go, we should be back in London by 9.30pm.
Due to other commitments, I can only do this one trip to Norfolk this year so book your spot asap if you want to see the cutie balls of fur.
As always we will grab a meal at the end of the trip before we head back to London with a few hundred photos. I have a professional camera and will share it with you.
We will not rush for this trip, we will stop for plenty of photos so if you are coming for a hardcore hike I would not recommend.
