Michigan Adventurers Club

This weekend Workout Hike will be in Proud Lake State Recreation Area. Let's meet at 11:00AM in the main parking area, near the headquarters, and begin hiking promptly at 11:15. We will hike 5-6 miles on various trails, at a moderately fast pace of 3 miles per hour (20 mins per mile) for approximately 2 hours.

Be sure to bring water to drink, hiking poles if you have them, and dress for the weather!!

This is a Fitness Hike; the pace is approximately 20 minutes per mile, which includes elevation changes and a variety of uneven terrain. Our expectation is for the entire group to maintain the leader's pace, and remain together for the duration of the hike.

Locations of these workout hikes are in Michigan State Parks/Recreation Areas or Metro Parks, that require daily or annual passes. Passes can be obtained from park headquarters or toll booths at park entrances.

The organizers of the Michigan Adventurers Club are volunteers and not professional guides. The function of the organizer is only to organize this event. Each person who signs up for and participates in an event is responsible for his or her own safety and the safety of his or her guests.

The Humpday Workout Hike will be at the Penosha Trail at Brighton State Recreation Area. Let's meet at 6:15 pm in the main parking lot and begin hiking promptly at 6:30 pm. We will hike 5 miles on the trails, at a moderately fast pace of 3 miles per hour (20 mins per mile) for approximately 2 hours.
