Miami Moviegoers, grab your popcorn, and let’s go to the movies! This group is designed to connect cinema lovers in the South Florida area and to advocate for the theater experience. If you want to join, it’s simple: all you have to do is buy your ticket ahead of time and show up. And perhaps purchase some concessions when you’re there! Also, we often plan pre or post screening events where we can hang out and talk about everything film.

Miami Moviegoers, film club is in session! We are gathering a group of like-minded movie lovers together at the German American Social Club for a Secret Movie Night in collaboration with We Met in Miami! Because a movie night is fun. A secret movie night with new friends? Even better.
This event gives you the unique opportunity to swipe right on your top film choices. It’s like Tinder for movies. When you arrive, you’ll have a chance to like, dislike, or even super-like our secret movie options — and we’ll all match with the winner!
This event is taking place on August 10th. Doors will open at 5:00 PM. As guests gather, they will be able to vote on the film for the evening. Also, a wide selection of beers will be available for purchase from the German Club, as well as food options. And then at 5:30 PM, we will get to know fellow attendees with fun icebreakers while we tabulate the votes. Finally, at 6:00 PM, we will dim the lights and press play on our selected film. After the credits roll, we’ll break into small groups for guided conversations on the film’s themes, helping you spark deeper connections.
Additionally, please note that we are asking all attendees to make a $10 suggested donation. Your contribution helps us keep the party going!

Not open - The Room and Pre-Screening Happy HourCoral Gables Art Cinema, Coral Gables, FL
Miami Moviegoers, let's enter The Room! We are gathering a group of like-minded movie lovers together at the Coral Gables Art Cinema to watch the 2003 film The Room starring Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero!
We will first arrive at The Bar at 5 PM in Coral Gables for a 2-for-1 happy hour special. This venue is located at 172 Giralda Ave, Coral Gables, Florida. The special on drinks will last until about 7 PM. And then at about 7:30 PM, we will be walking to the Coral Gables Art Cinema to find seats for The Room. This special screening will also feature one of the stars of the film, Greg Sestero. Tickets can be purchased HERE on the Coral Gables Art Cinema website, and I recommend getting them as soon as possible because they will sell out at some point.
