What we’re about

Welcome :) The second Sunday of each month we have a social meet and the fourth Sunday of each month we intend to meet for book discussion.

Are you tired of therapists just telling you to develop healthy habits instead of getting to the root of your actual issues and improving your perspective? Tired of knowing few or no other people who actively wish to self reflect and put themselves in the shoes of others for the benifit of us all? I know I sure am!

We're building of people who wish to do better, feel better. People who intend to not just read the entire book but also apply it to their lives.

Not all self-help books are good. So I'd like to emphasize that when the group chooses books we ought to consider reviews of the book from regular folk and professionals alike. The only rules I have about books is they be non-fiction. And they don't have politics or religion as the primary focus. If they touch on politics or religion, such as how they affect ones life that's okay. Or how to incorporate it with your health. But I draw the line at telling people they need to be political or religious.

I'd like to emphasize that if one isn't feeling the book that the group has chosen you don't need to read it, that's okay. Feel free to still attend! And even read a different book and tell us about the book you chose to read. Maybe you'll get us interested in your book :)

I feel that resturaunts or parks would be good meeting places. Rooms can also be reserved at libraries. Currently we're mostly meeting at different coffee shops. I'm very open to suggestion.
