What we’re about

Welcome to Mindful Hudson Valley Hikers with Yoga and Qigong! This unique Hiking group is about the journey, not the destination. Join us to explore the beautiful trails in the Cold Spring, Fishkill, and Beacon area- and possibly beyond. Short Qigong and/or Yoga movements will be introduced before and during the hike to warm up and improve joint mobility and balance. We will move mindfully at a slow to moderate pace to connect with Nature and each other and take time to enjoy the view!
Qigong is a healing meditative movement practice that combines focused awareness/intention, breath and movement. It can promote healing and relaxation, reduce stress and pain. Science and research studies confirm the benefits of yoga, meditation, walking, and spending time in nature. Combining these practices will enhance our overall well-being.
No experience is needed, hikes will vary in length and duration, but will mostly be about 1-2 hours. Hiking shoes are recommended. Most meetups will be free to join, there may be upcoming special events with a fee to join.
