We like to think of ourselves as a friendly group of extended mates to go mountain biking with. Often it's hard to coerce your friends to take up biking or others things come up and you're left without biking buddies - that's where we come in. Hopefully there's a ride pitched at your level, if not why not suggest a ride or step up and host one, just click on "+ schedule a new Meetup" and put in some details. It's an urban loop around the city (avoiding roads where possible), meeting outside the Commie Pool at 11am. (I'll be wearing a red cycle helmet and yellow top...so, should be easy to spot).
We'll stop somewhere for coffee/scone/cake.
It'll be a counter clockwise route, heading to Portobello via The Innocent Railway path, turn west along the promenade, taking in Leith Links, and from 'The Shore' take the path beside the Water of Leith, join the Ferry Road path, then the Telford path around to the (relatively new) Roseburn path to the Union Canal (it's really good), and return via the Meadows to the start point. It'll be approx 23km, all paved.
We'll take a steady pace, making sure everyone is comfortable & at ease.
