What we’re about
Musicians of Southern RI & Eastern CT is meant to unite musicians of Westerly, Ashaway, Charlestown, Hope Valley, Wakefield, Mystic, Groton, New London, and other nearby towns.
Some goals of the group are: to help musicians looking to form new bands/projects find suitable musicians to collaborate with, to make friends with local musicians, to attend local shows/concerts with fellow musicians, and to help build up the music scene of Southern RI / Eastern CT in general.
This group is NOT for: blatant self-promotion, the advocacy of any type of racism/discrimination/hate related to any music sub-genre or otherwise, or for attempting to control/commandeer the group by overpowering conversations and trying to steer everything back to yourself or your own music. While it's important for everyone to have a chance to speak, it's equally as important to be empathetic towards other members. Groups tend to function best when everyone leaves their ego at home.
The target age range of the group is 18-40, but if you fall outside the range and are genuinely interested in the group, feel free to reach out to me.
