What we’re about
Salam!
Welcome to a new Muslim meet up group, based in Bristol!
We are a Muslim-run group expanding the social circle and community for people who are new in town and local to the area.
The aim is build a Muslim network by exploring what Bristol has to offer (and surroundings), get involved in activities while getting to know one another.
Activities such as board game evenings, movie nights, open mic/spoken word, annual summer BBQ/picnics, mini getaways, annual or biannual stargazing/meteor shower events, city/urban walks, and more. We are open to suggestions!
Most importantly, I hope this encourages Muslims (new in town, new to Islam, etc) to connect during Ramadan where it can be quite alien observing the month on your own and celebrating Eid ul Fitr and Eid Al Adha alone.
Welcome to everybody of all ages, demographics, religious background too etc.
House rules:
- Please do let the organiser know if you are bringing a guest. A lot of events require bookings and some need deposits. It allows them time to amend the booking.
- Please do let the organiser know if you are no longer coming and take off your name. If there are 3x no-shows for booked events, you will be removed from joining future events which require bookings/deposits.

- Muslim Meet Up: Snack & Salah/NamazShah Jalal Jame Mosque, Bristol
Salam all,
Brief plan (approx times):
As this is meant to be post-work, for those who can make it for Maghrib, we will have a light snack after at approx 17:00 at chaiwala round the corner.Meet location:
16:30 at the Sisters entrance (sisters), brothers entrancee (brothers).
17:00 - Chaiwala (if you still would like to hang out but couldnt make the prayer time)New in town and trying to find a friendly face to go to the mosque with? We’re here for you!
I know we tend to go to the mosque together with family/friends, and it is very daunting to go alone in a completely new place when settling in and creating a base. So I invite you to join others alike!
This meet up is for people to join for Salah/Namaz at the main mosques in Bristol (Easton Jamia Masjid, Shah Jalal Jame Mosque and others with sisters’ entrances) so we can start building our network to kick this off. This is intended for us to join after work has ended , allowing time for us to catch up and pray together at Asr/Maghrib/Isha (depending daylight hours, after work at around 5:30pm onwards, appreciate some can join for later prayers like Isha instead which will be in Dec onwards)
Feel free to bring family, friends, etc.
*The time is for anyone to join after work (mostly after work)
