Welcome to the Muslim Sisters Meetup page! This group is for ladies in their 20s - 40s who want to get together, have fun and make new friends! We meet all around NY including Long Island! We sometimes meet up at NJ as well!

We will be doing a variety of fun activities such as going to restaurants, exploring the city, festivals and amusement parks, paint night, museums, movies, karaoke, seasonal/ holiday activities and so much more!!!

If you ever want to host an event for this group, message me and I can make you guest host and create an event page for you!

This is a judgment free zone. Everyone is at a different stage in their journey towards Islam, so we strive not get into religious/ political debates or any haram policing .

Non muslims who share similar values are welcome as well !

There is a Whatsapp group chat too! After you become an official member, you will be invited to join the group. Great for staying connected after events! Please be aware that there are no moderators for this group. Group members are expected to discuss topics with a respectful and nonjudgmental attitude.

Some rules

• All new members will have two week free trial. Then there is a $3 annual member fee to help support meetup platform costs. In order to stay an active member, you will have to “update payment” before trial period ends. Please message me if not sure where it is.
• If you can no longer attend the event, the host will need a 24 hour notice. It is your responsibility to change the RSVP to “not going”
• Outdoor events are subject to change due to weather conditions such as rain and snow
• Restaurants events will be both halal and regular restaurants - it is your responsibility to check menu and website before rsvping
• We discourage you from ordering alcoholic beverages and pork at the table out of respect for the group members
• Occasionally we will have family events in which males will be allowed and it will be written in event description, but the majority of events will be women's only.

What can risk membership

• If you rsvp and do not show up
• Two no shows will result in removal from group
• Gossiping and backbiting about your fellow sisters. Be kind and respectful to everyone
• Not following the rules
