Evening Prayer: Gathering in Faith with the Book of Common Prayer
Are you seeking a peaceful, reflective space to connect with others through timeless prayer and spiritual fellowship? Join our intimate Weekday Evening Prayer group, inspired by the rich traditions of the Book of Common Prayer. Whether you're a longtime practitioner or new to this beautiful form of worship, all are welcome to share in this weekly gathering of hearts and voices.
What to Expect:
When: Weekday evening, starting at 7:00 PM (lasting about 25 minutes). Fellowship available before and after.
Where: Hosted in a cozy private home in Mobberly Farms community, Pilot Point, TX. (Exact address shared upon RSVP for privacy and safety.)
Format: We'll follow the Evening Prayer service from the Book of Common Prayer, including readings, psalms, prayers, and a brief time for reflection or sharing. No prior experience needed – we'll provide copies of the prayer book or digital access.
Who It's For: Open to adults/Families of all backgrounds who appreciate structured, communal prayer. This is a non-denominational space focused on spiritual nourishment, community building, and finding solace in ancient words.
Sponsorship: Proudly sponsored by the Jurisdiction for Armed Forces Chaplains and the Anglican Chaplains® - Education, Training, & Formation (Anglican.Training), supporting spiritual growth and community connection.
In a fast-paced world, these evenings offer a sacred pause – a chance to unwind, recharge your spirit, and build meaningful connections with like-minded individuals. Come as you are; bring your open heart (and perhaps a favorite mug for post-prayer tea if you'd like!).
Our first meeting is scheduled for 10 November 2025. Spots are limited to ensure an intimate atmosphere, so RSVP early!
If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to message the organizer. Let's create a community rooted in prayer and grace. 🙏
