This is a group for anyone with a passion for science fiction and fantasy. We meet to have fun talking about what we have read. Branching out into related topics (e.g., movies, streaming series, and games) is encouraged. Reading the book-of-the-month is generally helpful, but not strictly necessary (wink).

For the March read, the group chose the Millenium fantasy classic "Ship of Magic" by Robin Hobb. Written at a time when Y2K was on many minds, the book instead focuses on sailing ships that have minds, personalities, memories of the ancestors of their dead owners, and a psychic connection to living family members. Robin's stories are known for complex characters and plots and sometimes include adult themes. She has been compared to George R.R. Martin.We will be at BoomBozz East (1003 Russell St.) at 7:30 pm on Thursday, March 13.
