What we’re about
Hello Members of Nashville Spirituality Meetup!
As the new Organizer of this amazing group, we would like to introduce ourselves and tell you a little bit about Center for Spiritual Living Nashville, our teachings, and our programs.
The benefits of a spiritual-based, principle-driven life are endless. We teach principles that are suited to people of all levels of spiritual experience and awareness. Whether you are pursuing a personal goal, an enlightenment goal, or simply wanting to improve your life, we provide access to a growth experience that can change your life forever.
Our Center is dedicated to helping each person achieve more value and fulfillment through integrated spiritual healing, education, and support. The Center's programs, classes, talks, meditation, and music program cultivate positive thought patterns and advocate a Spiritual Practice that supports a continuum of healthy, conscious Spiritual living. We offer healing for the challenged, guidance for the seeker, and inspiration for the enlightened using a spiritual-based program and mental technique that changes lives for the better.
Our classes, social events, and programs offer a path to more abundant living and a meaningful life experience. We also have a wonderful child and family team who are eager to provide services for children (ages 2-10) from 11:10 am -1:10 pm. You can drop your child off and have time to attend our meditation services before the Sunday service. We are not equipped to provide infant services, but we will find a quiet space if needed for little ones and their caregiver. The Mastery of Self by Don Miguel Ruiz, Jr. is available for purchase at the CSLN bookstore or on Amazon.com. - Our Next Step…Communication Skills to Support the Beloved CommunityLink visible for attendees
In his book, Jim Lockard shares that in Beloved Community, "True compassion requires a degree of emotional maturity and spiritual poise." We're asked to "reveal and heal issues, to honestly confront them and compassionately make corrections." One way of doing this honestly and effectively is integrating nonviolent communication principles with our spiritual practices.
During this five week course, we'll practice skills to:- Connect with what Lockard describes as our "inner (Divine) authority"
- Listen with a respectful curiosity for another's experience
- Express ourselves authentically, connecting us even in our differences
- Make requests that "make life more wonderful!"
This workshop is being offered by Lisa Firestone, Certified Trainer candidate for the Center for Nonviolent Communication.
