Welcome to the Nebraska Women of Color in Tech meetup group, a group dedicated to fostering connections, empowerment, and knowledge sharing. Join us as we come together to support and uplift each other.
Our quarterly meetups will provide an invaluable opportunity to network with industry professionals, and gain insights from the experiences of Nebraska-based women of color in tech. We are grateful to the Fruitful Design & Strategy team for graciously offering their beautiful space on 14th and Harney in Omaha, NE as our primary meetup location for in-person sessions.
The structure of our sessions ensures a well-rounded experience. We begin with a networking session from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM, allowing you to connect with fellow attendees and expand your professional network. From 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM, we dive into a presentation featuring a Nebraska-based woman of color in tech that explores relevant topics and insights within the tech industry. Following the presentation, we encourage further networking opportunities from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, enabling further conversations and connections.
We are excited to meet and engage with all aspiring and established tech professionals. Whether you are a programmer, designer, entrepreneur, or tech enthusiast, this meetup group provides a supportive environment where you can learn, grow, and thrive. Join us in shaping a vibrant community that celebrates diversity and empowers women of color in tech.

Join us in celebrating the women leading the charge in tech at the inaugural 2025 Women in Tech Summit, hosted at Kiewit La Vista. This vibrant event features a day full of networking, a community resource fair for women and girls in tech, and sessions led by inspiring speakers. We’ll also honor Nebraska-based women in tech, from emerging talent to experienced leaders, during an awards ceremony in the closing session. Nominations close January 10, 2025!
A portion of event proceeds will support Code Crush and Women in Tech of the Heartland—two impactful organizations whose leadership is deeply involved in shaping this summit experience. Their insight and dedication have been integral to creating a meaningful and empowering event for all.
