What we’re about
New England Light Painters (NELP) was formed by a group of art-focused photographers in January 2006. If you'd like to improve as an artist, and would like to be involved in the artist photographer community, this is a great group to join. Recent meetings have been virtual, and future meetings will be hybrid once we can safely meet in person.
NELP's goal is to support the photographic artist community. We have a monthly Image Review, where we review each others' images and offer each other support, ideas and encouragement. We draw on many of the principles in The Artists' Way (recommended reading) by Julia Cameron. We schedule Education Nights and Special Events as topics are identified and organizers volunteer to help out.
Membership is free, and there is no cost for most meetings. There may be a small fee for some special events, to cover the cost of a guest speaker or venue (e.g. Museum of Fine Art).
