IMPORTANT: If you have signed up to the event but can't make for some reason please cancel your spot in good time before the event so the spot is free for someone else to attend.
Agenda:
- TUnit (Johnny Cederholm)
In this talk we will have a look at one of the latest testing frameworks for C#, TUnit. It describes it self as "A modern, flexible and fast testing framework for C#". So how does it compare to some of the already existing testing frameworks and in what way is it different? - FAIL (Johan Olsson)
Real-life tales from a long and eventful career, about a variety of projects that encountered unexpected and often amusing failures. These stories delve into the challenges faced, the lessons learned, and the surprising twists that turned seemingly straightforward tasks into memorable adventures. - Bring your laptop for another code-along! (Peter Nylander)
This time, we’re diving into two essential skills every .NET developer should have in their toolkit. Creating NuGet packages and containerizing .NET apps without dockerfiles. This hands-on code-along session is perfect for anyone who enjoys learning through live coding and step-by-step demonstrations. Whether these topics are new to you or you’re just looking for a refresher, this session will give you practical tips and help you level up your .NET skills. To get the most out of this session, be sure to bring your laptop—let’s code together!
Skill 1. Creating a NuGet Package: Learn how to build and manage reusable libraries using the .NET CLI. We’ll guide you through adding metadata, configuring your package, and testing it locally without the need for publishing.
Skill 2. Containerizing .NET Apps Without a Dockerfile: Discover how to containerize a .NET application using only the SDK's built-in capabilities. We’ll show you how to create and publish container images in a straightforward way. - Open discussion
