Free hiking, walking, stroll and cycling parties around NY, NJ and CT.
There is no age limit.
We encourage everyone to be polite and refrain from discussing politics.
All events are free.
If you want you can join us only for one country.
Dear verticals, it's time to do an international trip we chose last year. Beautiful Brazil and Peru are waiting for us.
This is a 12 days 11 nights trip.
Keep in mind that in Peru we will go hiking for two to three non-consecutive days.
If you're not the hiker please let us know ahead of time.
In Brazil and Peru in most places we will have local tour guides.
We are not a travel agency and you will have to pay for your own travel, however we can help you with advice on flights and accommodation.
Most of us will depart from New York City.

**** TIPS ****
We are going to organize a zoom call once we will have enough people to look for hotels.
We highly recommend booking your tickets and hotels ahead of time.
Budget is limited by the comfort level you need.
If you would like to share the hotel booking please don't forget to collect/transfer the money in advance (we suggest you meet in person before).
Please be ready to wake up at 6-7 AM.
Consider your strength as each day we will walk about 8-12 miles every day in Brazil and 10-16 miles every day in Peru.
Money collected is not refundable (unless you will find someone to replace your booking).
Organizers are not liable for any damages so please take this into account before you transfer the money to someone.

Dear Neverwinterers, this time we will pedal through NY, CT and MA via the well known Harlem valley trail. This is a really gorgeous route that we do almost every year.
We will have numerous stops and possibly visit the lakes. This route has plenty of places where you can refill the water and are very environmentally friendly.
Half of the trail goes via a protected bicycle lane, where you will never see the cars.
There will be some small hills but most of the time it will be flat ground.
Because everyone has their own cycling pace, we might split into groups at some point.April 26 (Saturday)

Dear Neverwinterers, this time we will hike through one of the most famous trails: Bear Mountain. We will cross the red, blue and white trails.
Part of it goes through Appalachian and Popolopen Gorge trails.
We will pass through Fort Clinton, Hessian lake, Stone cottages, Perkins Memorial tower and many other sights.
If we have time we might visit the Trailside Museums & Zoo. We will have lunch at the top of the mountain.
This is a loop walk!April 27 (Sunday)

How to get there?
Metro-North train:
Way to: Grand Central to Manitou train station (look for a 7:50 AM train).
Way back: Manitou train station to Grand Central (look for 4:29 PM train).
By car: ask a group if someone is driving and can give you a ride.Total hiking distance about 13 miles (with 3 mph).
Total elevation 1700ft.This is a recreational walk (not marathon). We are open to any age groups, but please consider your abilities to walk that long.
We will have multiple stops via our hike.
Please bring enough water and food for the whole day.
