What we’re about
Hey there! Welcome to the Meetup Page of Middle Sibling Productions! Come join us for some super casual theatre events in Manhattan and beyond! We host communal readings every Saturday, a playwriting salon every other Saturday, and a play club every other Sunday! We'll be reading a different play each time, and we'll provide a digital link to the play so you can follow along. No acting or theatre experience required—we're just here to have a good time!
For our Saturday readings, We suggest bringing a digital device to read the play on, as we may change the play depending on the number of attendees. If you don't want to read, that's totally fine—we always appreciate new faces and an audience.
For our Sunday play club, we discuss well known classics and lesser known contemporary pieces every other week. We highly suggest reading the play in advance so you can participate fully in our group discussion. We will always post a digital copy that is free to use, but if you have a physical copy feel free to read from that. We always love to see all the different editions of a play!
MSP is committed to enuring participation at all levels is attractive, safe, and enjoyable for all. By signing up for any of our events you agree to abide by our below code of conduct.

- Discussion of Soyinka's Death and the King's Horsemen and Friel's Translationspublic space at 590 Madison Ave, New York, NY
Hi! For this meeting we will be trying something different. We will be discussing both Death and the King's Horsemen by Wole Soyinka and Translations by Brian Friel. The full script for Death and the King's Horsemen can be found online here and the script for Translations can be found here. We recommend bringing a physical or digital copy of the play to the discussion as we may read small sections of the play during the discussion. This is a dramaturgical discussion of both plays, unlike our saturday reading series. As such, we highly suggest reading the play in advance. We will meet at public atrium at 590 Madison indoors by the southeast entrance. I will put what I am wearing the day of in the event comments so you can find us if you are running late. This book club is super relaxed and casual. So, enjoy the play and we hope to see you for a great discussion!
