What weβre about
New in 2023
"No Ka 'Oi" means "The Best" or "The Finest", so come and experience the best Maui has to offer.
We are a fun, active, inclusive group of adults focused on exploring 'The Best' or 'The Finest' of what Maui has to offer through a variety of moderately challenging yet fun and memorable adventures all around this beautiful tropical paradise. Our goal is to challenge ourselves and our physical, mental, and even spiritual fitness while enjoying nature with fellow adventures whose hearts are full of Aloha. π€ππ€πΌ
Our Adventures will range from beautiful beach-walks, to epic Haleakala hikes and everything in-between. Also look for special events such as ocean swimming, snorkeling, paddling, fun challenges, and even day-trips.
There will NEVER be a charge for attending No Ka 'Oi Adventures, other than the possible unavoidable entrance fee, parking fee, or other fees not directly associated with the group. Any donations will go directly toward Meetup fees, and then back to the group in the form of a yearly celebration.
If you have an aloha heart and want to experience Maui Adventures with like-minded people, then come join our fitness minded community of kindness by choosing an adventure that is right for you.
Note that this group is intended for adults. They may at times be adult humor, profanity, and of course trails that two posts physical challenges. Please do not bring any children to any meetups. If you have a capable teenager, please notify the organizer if you wish to bring them on an adventure, and know that you will be responsible for their transportation, safety, and explanations of why some grown ups of all ages still act like teenagers. π
If you have an idea for a hike or event then please contact the organizer and maybe we can make it happen!
Upcoming events (1)
See all- Honolua Bay Snorkel and Tide Pool AdventureHonolua Bay Access Trail, Lahaina, HI
Stop 1: Honolua Bay for snorkeling. We will spend up to 1.5 hours here at this popular snorkeling spot...arguably the best snorkel spot on Maui. Certainly the most scenic entrance. Just the walk through the Magical Enchanted Forest is beautiful enough for the journey, but we are going to be beauty-greedy on this adventure as we will snorkel...and much more!
Stop 2: Fairytale Tide Pool Exploration. We will spend up to an hour here as we'll drive or hike a short distance then descend to what is arguably one of Maui's most beautiful pools.
Here we will jump, splash, n play.
Lie Tide is ~8:20 a.m. and High Tide ~3:30, but well always keep an eye out as safety is priority.
Bring your mask or goggles with you for this one, and be prepared for a day of Island & Ocean beauty. What to Bring:
Small pack
Snorkel mask or goggles
Water (enough to last you the day)
Snack/Lunch
Shoes that are comfortable, durable and stable for wet rocks etc.
Optional: towel, action camera, fins (for Honolua only)...
And don't forget your Adventurous Aloha Spirit!Where to Meet:
Let us meet at Honolua Bay NLT 8:45 (I intend to arrive a bit earlier as parking after 9 can be rough). If you are late, no worries, look for us on scattered on the rocks to your right as the bay opens up to you when exiting the beautiful forest.
Please carpool as best you can, the fewer the vehicles the better. But know what the driver of your car intends as you will be committing to the length of their adventure.Disclaimer
