Let’s explore our Brisbane city and have some fun on an adult scavenger hunt. If it's your 1st time this will be a fun new experience for you.

We will meet at 10:30am outside City Hall where you will team up in groups of 2-5 (if you’ve brought someone with you, you can stay together) and be handed your list of tasks for your quest. At 10:45am after we've waited for late arrivals, we will start the hunt!

They will also get bragging rights at this and any future events they attend. The teams to finish 2nd and 3rd will win a copy of Tom G’s book, Purpose = Happiness.

We will meet back at the City Hall location between 12:30pm and 1:00pm (or earlier if you're super fast) where we will add up all the points and see which team won. 1:00pm is the final cut off, any teams arriving after that will have points deducted.

You will need to bring a camera or phone capable of taking photos. The quest will not cost you any money and you do not need to buy any items to achieve success.

With many of the locations being either inside or undercover this event will not be cancelled if the weather is bad on the day (Bring an umbrella for the outside locations though) so when you RSVP you will know that the event will still be on, rain or shine!

Also, do not RSVP as Going then no show on the day, it's important that we know how many people are coming to this event. No showing 3 events will get you kicked out of the group under the group's 3 strike rule.

If you wish to donate to the group to cover Meetup costs, feel free to donate anywhere from 50c to $50.

We will meet at the tables in the picture shown above which are located near the big waterfall. I have some games but feel free to bring games of your own.

However if you're not a gamer and would rather talk to the other attendees then feel free to do so. This is a very easy going casual event.

If are having trouble finding a car park you can park in Queen Street Malls parks, it's a short walk away from the Parklands. Or take the train as the station is right next to the park.

What we will do.

After we've gotten to know one another we usually play some easy fun party games for a few hours.

There are undercover areas in case of bad weather but if the weather is severe enough then we will instead play games at the Vault Games Brisbane store in the Queen Street Mall which is about a 10 minute walk away. Use Google Maps if you're unfamiliar with the area. If this does happen then I'll leave a comment in the events comment section on the day of the event.

If you want to donate to the group to help cover Meetup costs you can but it's optional so you don't have to pay to attend any events.

This event will usually be held on the last Saturday of every month.

This group also does exclusive events not posted on the Meetup Website. If you are interested, all you have to do is show up to one of the events and then ask to join the Messenger Group Chat.

Important note.

If you RSVP as Going and then not show up or if you don't let the organiser know in the comments or via DM why you couldn't come then you will be removed from the group if you do this 3 times under the group's 3 strike rule.

We will meet at the back of the library near the playground. Enter via the back entrance if the front entrance is closed.

Important note! With only a limited amount of tables available make sure to show up if you RSVP as Going. If you don't show up you could be denying someone the chance to attend. If you no show 3 times you will be removed from the group.

I will be the guy wearing the black cap and white shirt sitting at one of the chairs at the back of New Farm Library shown in the picture. We can meet between 5 and 5:30 then play some light board games for an hour and a bit. I have games but feel free to bring any games of your own. We play easy to learn games that don't take too long so whether you are new or an expert this is the group for you.

The back of the Library closes around 7:00 so afterwards we can go have dinner at a nearby restaurant and chat for an hour or so if we want to.

If you’re driving there are usually parks available in or near New Farm Park. There are also buses that go to and from New Farm Park to Fortitude Valley.

If you’re like me and you prefer conversations beyond the usual small talk, then this is the event for you! We will meet at one of the tables at the bottom of the escalator shown at the Wintergarden entrance in the picture below. Look for the guy wearing a black cap and white shirt sitting at one of the tables.

What we will do.

On the 2nd Saturday of (almost) every month, we will discuss a particular topic of interest for about 2 hours then we can go somewhere to have lunch. Or if you only wish to chat, then you are free to leave anytime you like. This is a casual easy-going event with no strict routine. For future events, you can also suggest topics that we can discuss.

This month's topic will be about Falling Behind. This is the title of my 3rd and recently released book which about the consequences of falling behind in life and what can happen if you fall into the wrong crowd.

The most important thing to remember about this event is that if you are not able to come, then please change your RSVP to Not Going. We don’t want to be waiting around for someone who isn’t coming. If you no show 3 times you will be removed from the group. Another important thing to know is that topics related to politics or religion will not be discussed as they are too polarizing and divisive.
