Hello Socialites, welcome to a Meetup group that aims to offer something for (just about) everyone right on the North Shore of Metro Vancouver. As we all know this is an age in which social isolation is rampant, among all age groups, and it can be especially so for people who are retired, semi-retired, work from home or new to the area.
Metro Vancouver has hundreds of groups on Meetup.com, and a few for folk aged 50 plus, but most of their activities are in the city of Vancouver itself and/or Burnaby, or the Tri-Cities. North Shore dwellers hardly need to be told how challenging it can be oftentimes to get across that water, so a general social group focused solely on the three North Shore municipalities is needed. The City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver and West Vancouver have a combined population of around 220,000, and they are growing rapidly.
There is no charge to join the group, or to attend any events - other than of course covering your own way for dinners and coffees etc, or movies and theatre. Please note that I will be enthusiastically seeking event organizers from among the membership - people to choose the nature and shape of all sorts of events, and to increase the quality and quantity of the service we offer collectively. Do not hesitate to reach out to me if you want to learn more about that. We will ultimately seek donations from the members to cover some of your costs.

- brunches, lunches and dinners
