Northern Virginia Classics and Modern Best Sellers Book Club

This is a fun event to celebrate Loudoun wine. It's hard because the rules require that the fruit actually has to be grown within Loudoun County, so some wineries you may be familiar with may not be able to submit all their offerings, because a lot of their acres are actually out near Woodstock. So it's basically all you can drink tasting out in the concourse and then they open the ballroom for dinner. If you want to drink at dinner, you have to buy a bottle/work something out with the folks out in the concourse, but even the winery staff are normally partaking so it's great fun. Tickets are $150/person and $1400/table. Anyone interested? Do we have enough people to book a table?

We discussed doing an overnight at the aquarium to celebrate this treasure but that might be too difficult and expensive to pull together. The venue will have to be warm- Aspendale was great in January, but alas. Maybe RDV will be more open now that they're under new ownership? Should we be open to the idea of Barrel Oak, or, (gasp) 50 West? Something else? Please let us know what you think.
