Hey everyone,

I am planning on doing a spring skiing trip to Palisades Tahoe. Planning to fly into Reno on Thursday 24 and leave on Monday 28th. I am going to get ski in and ski out lodging at Palisades Tahoe Lodge.

Accomodations will about $100 per person per night. I want to get 2 bedroom condos. If people want cheaper lodging I can see if I get a studio and cram in as many people as possible but I rather have more space.

Please RSVP and let me know if the dates work for you. Plane tickets are about $400 right on on Delta to Reno. You can also fly in to SFO and rent a car or take Amtrak to Palisades Tahoe. The train leaves you in Truckee and you can take the free local bus from Truckee to Palisades Tahoe in the morning. You would have to fly on Wednesday night if you want to make it by Thursday to Palisades Tahoe by train.

This is the 6th time we are doing this trip and it has always been fun.

Come for the sun and snow. Usually are plenty of days where you can ski or snowboard in a bathing suit with a beer. Although we have been hit with a blizzard that dumps a foot of fresh powder in late April before. TBD! But Cali in late April is the best and Sunday is the closing of Alpine Meadows which is already super fun to attend.

What: Hiking, cycling, kayaking, exploring waterfalls, relaxing in nature, or whatever you want. People will be doing different day hikes, and then we'll all meet back at the campsite afterwards. When: 3 nights over Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 23-Monday, May 26 (I have the group campsite "Safari Field" reserved, which fits up to about 30 people spread out)

Cost: $12 per person per night, so $36 for all 3 nights (note, the website has not been updated - it's $12 pp per night for Safari Field).

*Please note, it is a 6.5-9 hour drive from NYC, especially on a holiday weekend with traffic, so plan accordingly.

What to know: Everyone is responsible for their bringing their own tent, etc. and for their own meals. There are grills and a campfire pit for cooking, grocery stores in the area, or restaurants within walking a mile walk if you prefer.

What to Bring (required!):

• Tent
• Sleeping bag & airmat for warmth
• Food for cooking & matches to light fire
• Snacks for hiking
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Rain jacket
• Layers - it gets cold at night in the mountains
• Reusable water bottle
• Mess kit for eating (reusable plate or bowl, silverware, cup)
• Please do not bring disposable dishes, etc. - let's be mindful of the environment and keep trash to a minimum
