We are a new group of Orange County women (50+) who love to travel and are looking to build friendships and find travel buddies. Local hikes, socials, and weekend getaways are planned for the purpose of building genuine friendships with other local women with the same common interest in travel.

In Dublin’s fair city, you’ll drive along the statue-lined O’Connell Street and see the elegant Georgian squares with their red-brick townhouses. You’ll also see Trinity College and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Enroute from Dublin to the seaside resort of Tramore, take a stroll through the pretty lanes of Kilkenny, and see the city famous for its Irish crystal—Waterford. Your budget-minded travel through Ireland and Scotland delves into the lush and rugged country of Scotland with magical scenes such as the “Bonnie Banks” of Loch Lomond, wild landscapes of Rannoch Moor, Loch Ness, and Scotland’s famed whisky region. From the spectacular Cairngorms National Park to the beautiful Victorian resort of Pitlochry, and the home of golf, St. Andrews, you’ll cross the elegant Forth Road Bridge to Edinburgh for royal Scottish history in the home of historic scientists, inventors, and novelists. Your value-minded tour of Ireland and Scotland is chock-full of priceless experiences, sights, and memories brave and true!
- May Hike & Lunch at Buck Gully Reserve (NPB) & Mendocino Farms (Fashion Island)Buck Gully Reserve, Corona Del Mar, CA
Bring water, comfortable lightweight hiking shoes, sunscreen, hat as appropriate.
We will meet at 8:45am at the Buck Gully Reserve trailhead (872 Poppy Ave, Corona Del Mar). Park on/near Poppy and 5th street (neighborhood parking). We will start our hike promptly at 9:00am so allow yourself the time to park and find us.Buck Gully Reserve is a natural, coastal canyon in the City of Newport Beach. The canyon is bounded by urbanized areas, including single-family residences, roadways, and the Pelican Hills Golf Course. The watershed draining into Buck Gully encompasses approximately 1,200 acres and includes portions of the San Joaquin foothills. Here's a link to a Youtube video that you may find informational. Here's another good video to watch. Difficulty level: Easy; No dogs allowed.
Immediately following the hike (probably about 11:15), we will be having lunch at Mendocino Farms @ 849 Newport Center Dr, Newport Beach in Fashion Island (hopefully out on the patio). Park in the parking structure between Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. It's right across from Bloomingdales.

This is our monthly informal, social meet-up lunch. We will be meeting at Luna Grill Spectrum Center in Irvine (ACROSS from the fountain in front of the Regal Theaters). We welcome new members and guests who are interested in finding out more about our group of fantastic, traveling women (50+)! We will be talking about our favorite topic of travel, our upcoming events/trips, and most of all getting to know each other. Each person orders their own lunch. Look for a group of ladies, wearing name tags on the patio. This event fills up quickly!
Note: Park in the parking structure behind the Theater, then walk around to the front of the theater, near the fountain. You will see the restaurant from there.
