Orange County Latin culture exchange Meetup Group

We will tour Northgate Market sampling the aguas frescas as well as a taco or two. This will be a great opportunity to discuss la cultura, the differences in foods, as well as suggestions for new locations and events.

Join the California Migration Museum, LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, and leading voices across the immigration policy, education, and activist communities in a plática (talk) to consider how the past informs the present and what lessons we can learn from Mexican Repatriations that happened 100 years ago.

In the 1930s, more than a million people were coerced into leaving California and sent across the southern border to Mexico, right in downtown LA. These removals became known as Mexican Repatriations, but the majority of those forced to leave were actually born in the United States. In most cases, these U.S. citizens had never visited the “home” to which they were now expected to return.

It is Stella's Bday!

We will have two events to celebrate and enjoy the good time together. This event is cross posted.

To celebrate, let's enjoy a delicious KBBQ @ Mr. Lee's BBQ in La Palma, 5:30 pm. The price for this AYCE BBQ is about $23 plus tax and tips.
We will meet you at the front entrance waiting area.

PLEASE BRING EXACT CASH TO MAKE THE PAYMENT EASIER, DRINKS WILL BE PAID SEPARATELY FROM THE DINNER. EACH TABLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR PAYMENTS.

If you drink, the payment will be made separately.

After an awesome meal, then we head out to an 80s 90s 2000's Music club in Fullerton, only about 15 min from the restaurant. We will meet outside the club at 8 pm, then head on to the club and dance til whenever! For those coming to the club only, you can join us anytime after 8 pm, just find us inside.
