Orlando 20 40ish board games art things and etc

Hello! Join us for good coffee, snacks, and board games. We start at 9:30am and go until 1pm. Some come a little later, others leave a little earlier. I'll have games we can play. Bring 1, or a few, of your favorites, too.

Late joiners and walk-ins are welcome.

*Parking spots: in the parking lot, on the street, or across the street (liquor store parking lot - at your own risk, but no one's reported having tow/ticket problems).*

For refreshments, Stardust offers coffee, tea, and a menu (cafe food).

If RSVPs are full, come by anyway. It's a neat place to hang out for a bit. There are another ~8 smaller tables there that I'm not counting here. I have a couple of 2 player games you could use and plan on getting more. Also, chances are, not everyone who RSVPs will come.

What to expect:

So far, there's been a pattern of 2-3 people showing up right at the start. We pick a game and start playing. Usually, it's one that others can join easily and quickly as it goes along.

As more people arrive, that group breaks into 2 games, etc. Some people stick with the same group. When a game finishes, it's common to change games or tables. Walk around and see what's there.

If I look up and see someone standing with a confused look on their face, I ask if they're looking for the board game group and give a little welcome. The first event, everyone I asked was looking for it. This last one, I was 0 for 3. This head check is about as much hosting as I do.

Please make yourself comfortable. Everyone's there to unwind and meet new people. If you have a question and want to figure out where the organizer is, ask someone nearby and we'll find our way to each other.

That's about it. We're the only group there, until the chess club comes around 11am. There's a lot of space. Hasn't been a problem.

I have my set of games at the front of the table I start at. Others are usually with the people who brought them, who might be seated somewhere else. If you see a game, the people by it are probably with this group.

I love making crafts around this time of year. Let's meet up for card crafting and art at the Alafaya library in Orlando.

I'll be there at 1:15pm to set up. It'll take me about 10 minutes, so we start at 1:30pm.

I'll have some materials & tools that you're welcome to use. Bring your own if you like.

I'll have a few paper crafts picked out & material for cards with markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue, and references for ideas.

Please: no wet stuff. Paint, etc. Markers are fine. I'll have table covers laid out.

As with the board game events, I'll bring enough for everyone. If you have material/tools you'd like to bring for yourself and/or have extra for others, that'd be appreciated, too.
