You are welcome to join this meetup group, but please note that the group will be shutting down soon.
It’s been an amazing run, filled with epic victories 🏆, playful strategies 🎲, and maybe a few (fine… many) crushing defeats 😭. Thank you for making this group a fantastic space for board games, fun, and camaraderie.
As we approach the end of our current Meetup subscription term on September 2, 2025, I’ve made the tough decision to close this group. Meetup’s costs have more than doubled - without added benefits - and I can no longer justify the expense to sustain our groups. As a result, The Orlando Game Night Meetup Group and Orlando Strategy & Euro Gamers Meetup Group will be discontinued at the end of the subscription term.
Given my limited bandwidth, I’m unable to manage the financial aspects of collecting dues from members to keep the groups running. Because of this, I’ve decided to cancel the Meetup subscription rather than shift to a dues-based model. That said, if anyone is interested in taking over, our current subscription supports up to three groups, and while we currently have two, there’s room to add another. If you’d like to step up, you’re welcome to cover the costs yourself or explore a member-supported approach. If you're interested, please reach out by June 30, 2025, and we can go over the next steps together.
But don’t pack up your meeples just yet! Our gaming community isn’t disappearing - just shifting. You may not be aware that we already have an active Facebook group, Orlando Game Night, where we’ve been sharing events. Moving forward, I’ll be focusing my efforts there, and I encourage you to join us to stay connected and keep the fun going.
