About Us: We are a Social Cycling Group for Adults run by Volunteers.
Our Mission:
To bring people together to have fun and make new friends while safely exploring Metro Vancouver and the surrounding areas. This includes some rides to Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and into Washington State..
Our rides range from urban and suburban to rural, on bike friendly roadways, dykes and trails and, from a few hours to all day. Rides are generally easy to moderate in difficulty and may run from 50 to 90 km.
Our goal is for participants to arrive at the end of a ride happy and satisfied with the outing and their ride leaders.
Code of Conduct:
Our cycling group is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members. We expect all participants to conduct themselves with integrity, kindness, and respect towards others during rides or events run by this group. Members should adhere to all traffic laws, ride safely, and support fellow cyclists, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
Bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, physical intimidation, and any form of discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other characteristic. Any member found engaging in such behavior will be subject to disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the group. By participating in our rides, all members agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive and supportive cycling community.

THE RIDE: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1913368114This route is approximately 62 km with about 90% paved surfaces and 10% hard-packed trails. From the Douglas LaFarge Skytrain Station, we head west through Port Moody and along the Barnet Hwy through Burnaby on the Francis-Union Cycleway and Adanac Cycleway in Vancouver. Our first stops will be at Bomber Brewing and Off The Rail Brewing, on Adanac St. We will continue west and on to Container Brewing on Franklin St. From Container, we'll get back on the Union St Cycleway and continue west to Science World, then along Ontario St to W-4th Ave. and R&B Brewery. R&B Brewery and Pizza is a good spot to have some lunch. There are two more breweries to hit, Brassneck and Main Street Brewing, then it's back to our starting point.
Distance: 62.1 km
Estimated Ride Time: 5 - 6 hrs
Bring: snacks/water, and pack a Lunch or buy something at one of the breweries

This is a flat, circle ride on roads and trails. From Queensborough, we head west along Dyke Rd.. north on No. 9 Rd., west on Westminster Hwy then south on the Shell Rd. Trail to the Richmond S Dyke Trail and into Steveston where we stop for Lunch. After lunch, we zigzag back across Richmond to Westminster Hwy, then east around Queensborough and back to the start point.Difficulty: Moderate (for distance) if you have been biking regularly.
Distance: 65.5 km.
Estimated Ride Time: 5 hrs

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49693835We will meet and catch the 7:45 AM ferry from Tsawwassen to Duke Point in Nanaimo. We will catch the 5:45 PM sailing to return to Tsawwassen. This will be a full day.
The ride is on mostly paved surfaces and is suitable for all skill levels. Good fitness is required as there are a couple of serious hills involved. Our elevation gain will be approximately 650 meters but, on a positive note, our elevation loss is also 650 meters.
Our first stop will be for coffee at Brüd House (1861 Dufferin Crescent). From the coffee stop, we will head in a northerly direction toward Lantzville then back toward Nanaimo with a stop at the Longwood Restaurant and Brewpub (5775 Turner Road) for lunch. After lunch, we will go through the heart of old Nanaimo and make our way back to Duke Point to catch the ferry back to Tsawwassen

Estimated Ride Time: 4 - 5 hrs.

This is a circle route with 52 km on roads and 8.5 km on hard-packed trails with several tough hills. From our start point on we follow the Semiahmoo Trail down to the Nicomekl River Trail and follow it thru Heritage Park and around Crescent Beach where we stop for coffee. We next head up the Tulloch Rd hill (a short but tough climb) to Kwomais Point Park onto Marine Dr. and follow it down thru White Rock onto 8 Ave. then south into Peace Arch Park where we stop for lunch. After lunch we zigzag our way up some tough hills crossing King George Blvd and Hwy 99 at cross walked intersections. We head thru Morgan Heights, back across Hwy 99 and King George Blvd to our start point.Difficulty: Hard because of hills.
Distance: 58.3 km
Expected Duration: 5.5 hrs
Bring: snacks / water and Pack a Lunch. We will stop for lunch in Peace Arch Park. "Canadian Side"
