Bicycle Aurora

Let's celebrate Independence Day with some time exercising our two wheel freedom!

We'll leave from the Municipal Building south parking lot, onto the Highline Canal trail westward and over through the Lowry neighborhood to Crestwood Park. A short break or snack and return the same way. Flat route on paved surfaces at a 10-12 mph, no-drop pace. About 15 miles roundtrip.

Bring your helmet, sunscreen, water and snacks as desired. Post ride food and drink are available in the Aurora City Center area.

BY ATTENDING this group ride event you ACKNOWLEDGE and ACCEPT the following:
1. I ACKNOWLEDGE, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in such activity. I further acknowledge that the group ride activity will be conducted over public pavements, trails, on-street bike lanes and facilities open to the public, and upon which the hazards of traveling are to be expected. I further agree and warrant that if, at any time, I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue further participation.
2. I FULLY UNDERSTAND that (a) BICYCLING ACTIVITIES INVOLVE RISKS AND DANGERS OF SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, INCLUDING PERMANENT DISABILITY, PARALYSIS AND DEATH ("Risks"); (b) these Risks and dangers may be caused by my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of others participating in the group ride activity, the conditions in which the group ride activity takes place, or the negligence of others; (c) there may be OTHER RISKS AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC LOSSES either not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time; and I FULLY ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS AND ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES, COSTS, AND DAMAGES I may incur as a result of my participation; (d) I acknowledge that Bicycle Aurora, event organizers, ride leaders, and any event volunteers will not be liable for any accidents or damages through this group ride.

Holiday weekend! Let's ride!

We'll leave from the Aurora Municipal Center south parking lots, onto the Tollgate Trail and up through the Anshutz Medical Campus and onto some on-street trails to the Stanley Marketplace for a short stop for snacks/brunch. Afterwards, we'll ride up to the Sandcreek Regional Trail and back to the Tollgate Trail and return to the municipal center. About 18 miles roundtrip on paved, regional trails with some on street riding on marked bike lanes. 10-12 mph, no-drop.
