What we’re about
Welcome to the Outdoor Club of South Jersey’s Bicycling Meetup. OCSJ is a dues paying club that uses Meetup to schedule all events.
Membership in OCSJ allows you unlimited free access to the hundreds of activities we offer in:
hiking, biking, paddling, trail maintenance, backpacking, and cross country skiing.
You can find more information on the Club’s offerings and policies on our website http://www.ocsj.org
Meetup is our scheduling tool for all events. Once you have paid, our 3 meetup sites are free to join. Again, your yearly dues include all activities from all 3 meetup groups. You must join each meetup group separately (free) in order to RSVP for events. Our other 2 Meetup sites are:

# Options on your own
Of course, there are many other things to do in the Cape May area. There is an information Rest Stop near the end of the Turnpike. This is a good place to get maps, brochures and ideas.
I will list a few suggestions, of course, there are the beach, boardwalk and shopping mall with many other things to do and places to explore:- www.ospreycruise.com - There are two excellent birding by boat trips on each of the three days that we are in Cape May (at 10:00am and 1:30pm). The web site for information about Birding by Boat on the Osprey
- wetlandsinstitute.org - Nature center featuring an aquarium and other exhibits on local marine life and animals of the salt marsh.
- Cape May Point State Park – This park has lots of options –
o birdwatching with Rangers to help with the birds
o nature trails to wander
o beach to enjoy
o Lighthouse to climb - Ferry to Lewes Delaware. This is an all day trip. If you are looking for a shorter look at the ferry, the terminal is a great place for lunch and bird watching.
- Cold Spring and Middle Township Bike Paths
- Cape May Zoo – a quaint visit to a small zoo.
- Higbee Beach – you do not need a swimsuit!
- Kayaks to rent
- Sunset Flag Ceremony at the Sunset Pavilion end of the Promenade.
