What we’re about
Let's go outdoors. Snowboard and ski in the winter and hiking and camping in the summer. Are you adventures and looking for friends to do various outdoor activities with. We are too. We started as a snowboarding group but have now ventured into outdoor adventures and more! We love winter sports and enjoy summer adventures as well. When there is snow, we hit up the slopes. In warmer months, we keep up the fun through hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and other outdoor adventures as well as game nights and other fun stuff.
If you don't snowboard or ski, want to learn or enjoy outdoor adventures, we welcome you too!
Get ready to meet with local snowboarders and adventurers! Feel free to post trips & plan event with other snowboarders and outdoors enthusiasts via the message board or email. We will also meet up now & then to share boarding and outdoors stories & ideas about resorts, vacations, equipment, etc. We will do happy hours, social networking and other fun things too!
*We snowboard and/or ski in Mammoth. If not Mammoth, we do local trip such as Mt. Baldy and Big Bear Mountain (Snow Summit and Bear Mountain). We don't discourage venturing to Vail, Aspen, Park City, Whistler, etc. The possibility is endless. Join us. If you are fun, adventurous, love the snow and the outdoors and cool adventures, and enjoy social networking, we welcome you! :)
We are getting ready for our first snowboarding/skiing trip of the year. Are you itching to go snowboarding or skiing? I sure am. I can't wait! Snowboarding. Yeppy!!
If you don't think you want to ski or snowboard the entire weekend, there is still plenty of cool stuff to do. Ever been to Mono Lake and seen the tufas? It's like you're on another planet! Ever hiked into a volcano crater? Or what about hotsprings? Who doesn't like hotsprings?

See all- Ski/Snowboard Vail and Beaver Creek Ski Resorts - Epic Pass Resorts!Needs location
We are heading to Vail Ski Resort (and Beaver Creek) to snowboard/ski. Grab your Epic Pass and snowboard/skis and let's visit Vail, one of the best ski resorts in Colorado with its SEVEN legendary back bowls! The sister mountain is Beaver Creek with nice wide-open runs; we can make our way there too!
Our lodging is reserved from Wednesday 3/12 to Sunday, 3/16. Everyone will have their own bedspace, and no sharing of bed is necessary. We are staying at Vail Bunkhouse and the whole place has been reserved for us besides staff. There will be a total of 28 of us; it will be a blast!!!!
To get to Vail, we will take the bus right across the street from the front entrance to The Vail Bunkhouse. With a short 10–15-minute ride, we will be at Vail. No need to find parking - get off the bus and we can hit the mountains together.
The cost includes our stay for 4 nights at the Vail Bunk House. Additionally, I will fix dinner on the evening of March 13th so we can get to know each other (I do ask everyone to help with cleaning up after dinner and definitely clean up after yourself daily since we are sharing the space!)
We will also stock the kitchen with some snacks, breakfast items and beverages. Coffee in the morning is provided by the house! I will also bring Board Games for those that feels like socializing with some friendly competition (Please feel free to bring yours to share!).
Cost does not include your getting there, lunch/dinners (other than the one mentioned), and Epic Pass/lift tickets, etc.

For the snow hunter in you . . . join us to see where it comes from.
This is definitely a bucket list type of trip.
It embodies adventure and the romance of traveling to far off places.
It is also tempered with safety and do-ability.
The actual dates are Apr 25-May 11, 2025 and the trip is 17 days/16 nights.
We have done this adventure twice already, in 2021 and 2022, and everybody had a blast! CLICK HERE to see attendee photos of the EBC trekWE HAVE MADE CHANGES BASED UPON EXPERIENCE.
- We are ADDING Yoga and Meditation, and a local expert TO BE WITH US to guide in Buddhist practice and local culture.

To clarify. We are NOT going up to the top of Everest (29,000’)
We are going to Everest Base Camp at 17,600’
Our starting elevation will be in Lukla at 9,400’You need to be of average or better fitness. If you can manage walking 3-6 hours a day, up and down a hill while carrying a light daypack, you will be OK! If you are very fit and work out and train, you will be at the front.
Professional guides to lead, and Yaks to carry our gear are included. And a Yak Herder too!!
All that is left for us to carry is our water, snacks and camera.
But I don't have the needed gear?!

All meals on the trek potion are included. What is lodging like?
We are sleeping in a series of "Tea Houses" along the route. You will have a bed in a shared room with roommate (from the group). Sorry, a solo room will not be available on this trip. We will pair up everybody. How dangerous is this? What if I get sick or hurt?
This is NOT the summiting Everest with people dying from bad choices. We will be walking on an established, well used trail the entire time, and NOT on snow or ice. Stats from past years show that 30,000 people a year do the EBC Trek. With all that said, . . . our trip INCLUDES emergency insurance. We are also Certified Wilderness First Responders.
Plain and simple, safety is our primary goal. We will have an experienced guide and porters, and we will be along the entire way.How much does this cost?

- MACHU PICCHU via the epic Salkantay Trail - Experience wild PeruLos Angeles International Airport, Los Angeles, CA
Discover the awe-inspiring journey to Machu Picchu with our three distinct options, each offering its own charm and adventure. As a Meetup, we travel as a group and still are able to tailor your Machu Picchu adventure according to your preferences and interests.
This event is for the hikers and trekkers, interested in The Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu. This is a 4-Day hike on the ancient and remote footpath located in the same region as the Inca Trail where massive snow-capped mountains collide with lush tropical rainforests. It is less travelled than the Inca Trail, with breathtaking vistas! Considered by many the better alternate to get to Machu Picchu. It is also not that heavily regulated with government taxes and fees. Hence, the good price!
The Inca Trail is the "tourist" route. We are doing the 1-day hike, which is the second half of the classic Inca Trek and a full day at Machu Picchu. It is shorter and less difficult than the Salkantay. The views are stunning - mostly rainforest canopy and ancient historic sights. Those who are interested in this way to reach Machu Picchu, CLICK HERE to find the event.
The Train is just as it sounds. No long hike. Travel by rail and with less effort. This is intended for people with less mobility or those who wish to glamp it a bit. They will be traveling with the Inca Trail group, but instead of hiking for one full day, can opt for the convenience of the train ride. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
