This Meetup Group Is For Everyone! Whether two, four or twenty attend...WE have fun, enjoy all types of events, entertainment and have made friends over 10 years of meetups. Remember...two are company and three is a party! So, if you are into attendance numbers & stats...move on. If you are into genuine, authentic and nice folks...that's us!**
Outside The Box Social Club - Detroit & Downriver Live! (formerly Detroit Live!) is an open-minded, open-hearted, diverse, inclusive social club that is dedicated to celebrating life and bringing all types of people together to share, learn, promote and respect the many genres of local music, art, culture and entertainment in and around the metro-Detroit area. All are welcome! LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Our purpose is to be inclusive and provide members with an opportunity to socialize & create diverse friendships in a friendly, authentic and respectful social environment... all while experiencing the adventure of a wide variety of music, dining, theatre, festivals and other live events.
We will tend to promote events that are cost friendly, however, we may splurge once in awhile to experience a special event. Group Participation and Guest Facilitators are welcome. Please message with an event idea you might like to host or post for the group.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Time & money goes into planning events. Organizers and members come out in good faith that people that RSVP will show up. So, in fairness to all members --it is time to implement the following attendance policy:
Event RSVP's & cancellations should be done within 6 hours of the event, unless there is an unforeseen circumstance. Just shoot a message to me. If a “no-show”, which means seating will not be reserved, etc. even if you show up. If you are a no-show for 3 events, with no message, etc. your membership will be revoked.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact me. Your input & involvement is appreciated. The group wouldn’t be possible without our attendees. Thanks!

Outside The Box Meetup Organizer Stephanie Jasinski went last month and hasn't played pinball in over 25 years...and had a blast! And a newbie came in 3rd place! The women of Belles & Chimes will guide you through the event.The tournament fee is $1. We have an optional prize pool of $5.
Bring money for the machines (approx. $10-$15 for event).Belles and Chimes aims to provide a fun and inclusive environment for playing pinball. All Women, non-binary, and female-identifying are welcome!
Offworld Arcade is located inside & next to Tocororo's Bar & Restaurant in the Eastern Market District. Parking right outside the building.
If anyone wants to meet earlier for a quick beverage or food @ Tocororo's at 3:00pm prior to event or carpool from different areas, just message in the comments section.

Detroit Blue Society will have a host of great musicians from near and far throughout the day playing in tribute to the late Luther "Badman" Keith... who was a Detroit journalist, a descendent of a legendary civil rights family and the founder and executive director of ARISE Detroit! along with being a great blues guitarist, vocalist and composer.
Event is from 3pm -10pm, however, meetup hosts will stay till about 7:00-7:30pm. Donations to ARISE Detroit. Too many links to musicians to list but feel free to look them up, as you like. I can tell you...they are all very good.
