We are two crazy friends who thought it would be a great idea to help people experience the mountains and adventures together. We will be hosting a variety of events, including those geared towards single, but have a deep love for backpacking and hiking.

We are here to help each other answer questions about gear, mileage, food tips or ideas for backpacking, etc. Our backpacking trips will NOT include gear so you will need your own for those. We will always provide a list of items we recommend.
This group is for ALL skill levels with backpacking and hiking and will include levels for the hikes/backpacking trips. We will keep you informed and having fun!

The group leaders, Merb and Food Lion, do have a combined experience of over 20 years in the woods and on trails but are not held liable for any incidents, accidents or issues while on trail. Let's get together and watch one of the film series at WWC. We love these events. It is free, you just pay for parking. You can buy parking for the day or purchase an annual pass online.

Whitewater center offers a selection of good beer and also some select option for eating. You are not supposed to bring outside food or drink in but we won't tell if you bring some snacks in your day pack and a few brewskies. Text Merb at 704-224-8559 to find our basecamp when you arrive.

This beautiful loop trail will be lead by Food Lion. This trail is absolutely stunning and will be very alive in April. Lets celebrate the holiday in our own way - which is in nature! This hike is perfect for people who feel they have no one or no place to go on special days.This secluded loop is off the beaten path and is actually remarkably flat with some spots that have good uphills.
