What we’re about
Welcome to the Pacific Photographic Society of San Diego. We are an active hands-on photography group for all levels of photographers and for photographic expertise from novice to expert.
Our emphasis is on photography in the field and in the studio, as well as photo finishing, education and networking.
We offer our members a wide range of photography related events including several monthly photo shoots at various locations, seminars, classes, educational shoots and networking opportunities with other photographers.
We welcome all photographers from beginner to professional and seek to provide an environment that is friendly, professional and enriching for all.
We actively seek the input of our members to ensure that the group provides the activities that are both beneficial and enjoyable to participating photographers.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Street Photography - Balboa ParkBea Evenson Fountain in Balboa Park - San Diego, CA, San Diego, CA
We'll meet at 10:00am sharp at the Bea Evenson fountain in Balboa Park, and we'll take the group photo. If there is anything interesting taking place that day, we may cross the bridge over to the Inez Grant Parker Memorial Rose Garden. Otherwise, we'll make our way down to the Lily Pond, the new Botanical building, we'll linger at the Plaza Panama Fountain, then further down to the Museum of US. On the way back we'll stop and spend time at the Spanish Village.
This event's challenge: Pick a Color. Should you choose to accept the challenge, pick a color and aim to take 3-5 street photos during the event, where the viewer's eyes will be immediately drawn to the color of your choice. Let's get creative and have some fun.
