Park Ridge Community Bike Rides

Fall is here, and it is a great time for bike riding. So come join us for a laid-back group ride through portions of Park Ridge & surrounding areas!

Event is open to all, our goal is simply to promote biking in town by bringing interested folks together for social rides in which we can get to know some neighbors and share info on a range of bike-related topics like safety, equipment & making Park Ridge more bike-friendly!

Most any level of rider is welcome, we only ask you bring a reliable bike and be capable of a moderate riding pace (est 10mph for folks who count such things) over a moderate distance (typical rides are 7.5 mi plus depending on conditions that day and capability of those who show up). We ride as a group and do not leave folks behind. We often hit a few nooks and crannies that even long time residents may not have seen before, but we have fun riding regardless, and typically have light refreshments after.

Other boiler-plate info:
(1) Bring a HELMET please. (2) Carry photo ID & phone for emergencies. (3) No earbuds/earphones, portable speakers only at low volume. (4) Plan ahead & bring anything else you may need like spare tire/pump, water bottle, rain poncho or sunscreen. (5) This is a day ride but daytime running lights are always advisable, as is bright clothing. (6) Check this Meetup day of ride in case of last minute changes or weather-related cancellations.
