This group veers into Wibbly-Wobbly-Timey-Wimey stuff as we discuss this 60+ year old fantastic show!
This group regenerated from our prior one of 2+ years. Previously meetings were exclusively on Zoom - and online events will remain so, Pacific Time, Monday evenings - but we added more in-person themed meetups in the LA/OC area such as at the Disneyland Resort. In both event types we’ll talk about specific episodes/stories that you’d view prior to the event, general discussion topics such as characters, plots, themes explored in Doctor Who. Or whatever you choose! This will be your group and is open to suggestions (we’ve a list from all members in the past 3 years with room for more). And with the show’s debut on Disney+, this group would like to be accessible to brand-new viewers too. Naturally, we mesh and crossover well with our sci-fi, gaming, cosplay, comics/novel, Disney peers.
All humans and extraterrestrials/surviving Time Lords may apply! But this is also a safe space (though we had to convince Cmdr. Strax that the word "Club" had multiple meanings). No harassing anyone nor repeat no-shows without canceling lest you get banished into the Void (not joking). Family-friendly though attendees under age 18 must have a guardian with them.

We’ll share tips for lodging, parking, etc in the Comments section below as well as attendee whereabouts to meet throughout the weekend. BUT only sign up/RSVP if you intend to meet other group members there in person (don't just sign up if you're there... it's in the Meetup name after all).
Though the official schedule starts Feb 14, there is a Pre-convention Launch Party on Feb 13 at 8PM.
Regarding Lobby-con - be aware Marriott hotel staff may ask persons without badges to leave if even non-convention areas are over capacity.

From the TikiLand Trading Co. website: “Adventureland Day is a fun dress up day at Disneyland and WDW where attendees follow clues and solve riddles in a treasure hunt where the first one thousand Adventurelanders receive a prize!”And what better adventurers to dress up as than River Song, the Doctors, and their friends! Adventurer/Explorer look, khakis and boots will be the secondary attire that day (John Riddell works on both levels). Aloha/Hawaiian, tiki/floral print dresses or shirts can be tertiary wear but keep the cooler March weather in mind. Thus attired, we’ll participate in the event photos. For the Treasure Hunt, you'll want to sign up via text to the # on the TikiLand site prior.
You must purchase a Disneyland park ticket or have a Magic Key pass – and make a Disneyland Park reservation – in order to attend.
The AdventureLand Day organizers may not post their schedule until a week prior; we’ll update you with it then. We'll likely attend just the photos and Treasure Hunt as this is also a cross-Meetup with the Disneyland Fan Club.
