Upcoming events (4+)
See all- GameCon at House on the Hill (board game night in NW PDX/Beaverton)12639 NW Ally Elizabeth Ct, Portland, OR
Come join us to experience a vast array of games, ranging from party games to middleweight and heavyweight games! With over 200 games at your disposal and our recurring gamers bringing dozens more, there's no shortage of options to choose from. Our gaming venue has ample space, featuring 8 gaming rooms each equipped with 1 to 3 tables, accommodating up to 4 to 8 players per table.
Our community is very welcoming and a great place to make friends, for new and experienced gamers alike. We can help you find a group to play with when you arrive or let you explore! With the event running from 4 PM to 1 AM, there's practically no limit to how long the games can run. It's a great place to break out your lengthy, heavier weight games, but also wonderful for playing lots of shorter party games and everything in between.
I, Lana, founded House on the Hill over 3 years ago, in July of 2021. Our first event had just 12 attendees, but with steady advertisement and community building efforts, we've grown to have over 50 attendees, many of whom have been attending for over 2 years. We get about 10 new attendees at each event.
BEFORE THE EVENT
Join our active discord, where regulars and new attendees chat about the next event, side events, and a plethora of other fun topics. You can schedule games or arrange carpools. On Discord, please make your username your name or nickname, so other members know who you are - it really helps for finding people at the event! You may want to bring:
- board games
- snacks to share
- cat/dog allergy meds (we have 2 long-haired cats. The flooring is mostly non-carpet)
- weather protection (jacket, umbrella)
- water bottle, reusable plate, fork (highly appreciated to reduce number of dishwasher runs, saving us time)

- Hobby Games of Newberg - Weekly Game NightBarley & Vine Tavern, Newberg, OR
Join us for a night of fun and challenging game play! Our focus is Eurogames, but we're open to other hobby games of the light to medium strategy ilk.
There is no pre-set agenda. Folks bring some games from home, and we collectively decide which ones to play. Sometimes we play several short games, sometimes one long one, sometimes a combination. Sometimes there's just one game going while other times there are three different groups playing.
Newcomers and old timers are welcome. Experienced gamers and novices alike. We often learn new games so it's a pretty level playing field.
Curious, but a little nervous? No worries -- it's a pretty safe place to learn about Eurogames and other hobby games. And you're welcome to just come and watch, if you'd like.
We start at 6pm, and 9pm is the informal end time -- play longer if you like.
Bring your friends, bring some games to share, or just bring yourself.
Adolescents interested in hobby games are welcome. Our venue serves alcohol but is open to minors until 9:00 PM.Like, follow, and share our Facebook page!
